I had a nightmare experience with a previous car dealership. Then I walked into Darlington car and commercial and they offered an exceptional service from start to finish. I was very sceptical about dealing with yet another second-hand car dealer but Neil went above and beyond proving that not all second-hand car dealers should be tarred with the same brush. I chose my car. I waited a few days while the mot was done and the service before I could collect it .There was a little problem with an oil leak which meant I had to wait a couple of more days for the car but he fixed it. He's always there at the end of the phone. He does what he says and makes no false promises. Brilliant service. Wish I had went to him first.Lesley

My daughter has just bought an Hyundai I20 in white ( her dream car ) from DCC cars Darlington.
After looking at a few dealers local to us with disastrous results I stumbled across DCC cars on the AA site.
Overall from start to finish the service from Neil has been impeccable they have such high standards and their reputation is so important to them it doesn't go unnoticed.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neil and dcc cars. Not only that but when I need my next car he will be my first port of call. 5star + service
From the first msg of interest I sent, Neil responded with a phone call within 10 minutes. In that call he gave me all the history of both the car and DCC as a reputable company. From there I paid the deposit so he could start to prepare the car for my daughter. I'll be honest I was nervous about transferring the money having only seen the car online and no test drive!! But I needn't have worried everything was absolutely fine .
Neil kept me fully updated by calls and text on what was happening with the car from sending pics of it being up on the ramps getting checked over to sending more pics of the mot and invoice as ready.
It was due to be delivered on the Sunday but Saturday afternoon he updated me with an issue of water in the brake sensors. Neil explained how he wouldn't send it out anything less than 💯 and replaced both sensors before it left the showroom. It turned up the following Sunday as we arranged and a personal call the day before giving me an ETA and it turned up absolutely perfect and exactly as the photos showed,delivered by Jack who was polite,friendly and talked through the paperwork and car with my daughter .
We had a little issue with the spare key but Neil said to post it straight back and he'd have it repaired and returned asap.

Very happy with the car, it was exactly how it was described on the add and over the phone. Highly recommend these guys. They even delivered the car to me even tho I lived 1.5 hrs away from them. Good to see there is still some good, honest and genuine garages out there and these are definitely all of that. They even provided the car with 6 months warranty. My daughter and I visited Darlington Cars and Commercial on the recommendation of another car dealer who didn't have cars within my daughter's budget.
We were immediately impressed with the warm but not pushy welcome we received from Jack. He showed us three cars which were priced closest to our budget. He listened to my daughter's likes and dislikes, offered sound advice and didn't put us under any pressure.
My daughter was attracted to a Peugeot 208, which was a bit more expensive than she wanted to spend, but having driven it and been offered a tank of fuel, 12mths warranty, full MOT, we made the decision to purchase it. Jack also then offered to make up two new registration plates for Hannah's personal number at no cost to us - an additional kind and most welcome offer.
My daughter's old car had already been advertised on Auto Trader but with little interest. A part exchange was offered by Jack but on the advice of Neil, the sales manager, we re-advertised on Facebook and reduced the asking price. We were enabled to delay the purchase of the new car while we sought a purchaser and within 24 hours we sold the old car for over twice the part ex offer. My daughter was obviously delighted.
We were left feeling very impressed with the way both Jack and Neil advised us and handled the sale.
Unfortunately, on the day we collected the car, an electric wing mirror was found not to be working, although it had worked on the test drive.
A short time after we got home, we received a call from Neil apologising for the situation, offering to collect our car the next day and to take it for us to have the repair fixed. Unfortunately, this was too late as my daughter was going away early the next day. The mirror remains inoperative but Neil has assured us that once she is settled in her new home in Edinburgh, he will send any parts required to a local garage and cover the cost of repair if she takes it in to be fixed. This seems to us to be a very reasonable offer to remedy the situation.
Well done Neil and Jack.
We have no hesitation in recommending Darlington Cars and Commercials.

My wife and I were looking for a small runabout that hit the sweet spot between age, mileage, price, and economy. On Monday, we wandered along to DCC and spotted a little Ford Ka that hit that sweet spot.
Just picked it up this morning serviced with a years MOT and petrol in the tank. She was also clean inside and out.
Friendly knowledgeable service.

We bought our daughters 1st car for her 18th 2 years ago ( I thought I'd left a review back then, but must have forgot!). The car was immaculate and came serviced, MOT'd for 12 months and some warranty. After a few weeks the fan belt was squeaky and it rained in the drivers door ( after ridiculously heavy rain) and Neil had this sorted without quibble. Can't think of any garages doing this on a car out of manufacturers warranty and 10 years old.
The car wasn't the cheapest, but the money was worth it for a car fit to drive, safe and in very good condition. You might find a similar car cheaper, but you might be soon spending on it after driving it away. Can't recommend DCC enough. It's since passed it's MOT twice without cost other than the MOT fee

The customer service provided by Neil at DCC was really fantastic. Attending with my fiancé and baby in tow looking for a first family car, I felt immediately at ease dealing with Neil who clearly cared about us and understands that a used car going to a customer needs to be right before it goes out the door - even if that means waiting a few days for it to be prepared to that gold safe standard.
Based on my experience I would strongly recommend this company to anyone.

This is an ancient review but around 15yr ago I bought a mitsubishi carisma from here on a 53 plate (hense it's an old review)
It was a silver 1.9 diesel £2500 back then.
I had that car 5 years and it was solid, it never let me down and it passed all 5 MOT with me with zero advisories in those 5 years.
I've had a couple different cars since but that one always stood out as a solid reliable car

Just wanted to share my experience after purchasing a vehicle from DCC Cars. I walked into the showroom with a paticluar make and model in mind that i had viewed on there website. I was met in the showroom by Brian who was friendly and very informative, and answered all of my questions. I found the vehicle i had been looking at earlier, and it was exactly as described and fitted what i was looking for perfectly. The price reflected the age and condition of the car, a 2017 Vauxhall Mokka X, the car was unmarked and well presented and i agreed to purchase it, this was a simple process, only requiring a few details and the odd phone call back and forth, the deal was then done and i collected the car a couple of days later. (they also took my part ex in and was given a fair price for that) A full years MOT was included, also a 6 month warranty, and even £30 worth of fuel had been put in the car for me, which is a rare thing nowadays, a small detail maybe, but the small details make the biggest differences in my mind. A family ran car dealership that has been in Darlington for many years. Shout out to Brian too, as hes the boss and handed me the keys today for my new car. Thank you very much. Very happy customer.

I only went in to look"¦"¦. And I left having bought a car. At no point though did I feel pressured. I was left to decide over a coffee. Neil was a perfect salesperson and also owner of the business. He was clearly experienced and I did feel I mattered as a customer. Something I have not always felt when buying a used car. Brian was patient during my test drive and Jack was so knowledgable and patient explaining the car and its tech on delivery. This was much appreciated as I could not get to collect the car and it was kindly delivered to my home. So. Thankyou so so much for making what can be a trying and testing experience into an absolute joy. I would genuinely highly recommend this lovely team of people.

We're about 2 months into our purchase and I can't speak highly enough of Darlington Car and Commercial. The sale was a no pressure experience, the car is as described but the main point that should be made known is the after service. A warning light came on relating to the tyre pressure and wouldn't correct itself after the tyre was inflated (in fact it wasn't low). We called, the cat went in and all sorted. Now there's an unrelated issue, and all it took was another call. There's always trepidation when buying a used car due to stereotypes, but thankfully Darlington Car and Commercial have laid mine to rest. Their longevity is testimony to the ethos of the company.

Found our perfect car on D.C.C.website,the lads stayed behind one night as we had to travel from Newcastle.They were more than happy to spend the time showing us the car and letting us take it out for a test drive even thou the garage had closed for the day.Due to having finance left on the car we owned we encountered a few problems which Neil the boss took over for us and handled everything.He and all the lads went above and beyond to ensure we could get the car and we were absolutely thrilled with their customer service including lending us courtesy cars for a while in between us selling our car so we were not without transport.We have already recommended them to friends and would not hesitate to go back in the future,having bought several cars over the years from many larger dealers we have never received this level of service or even come close.!Thanks for all your help,we have had the car a few months now and it is awesome!
