The operation comprises a main showroom and forecourt and an adjoining yard consists of a selection of cheaper part-exchange run-around vehicles from time to time. Its owner, Neil Plews acquired the business in 2002 having started work at DCC in 1988 and working his way up to be main salesman before taking over. DCC specialists in one-owner cars, with the greater proportion of its stock falling into this category. In particular many of the cars on show are ex-Motability vehicles that are no more than three years old, with fully warranted mileages and a service history. Neil's philosophy is that quantity is of secondary importance to quality. He has built up the reputation of DCC and on a history of traditional values and standards that the company continues to uphold in that customers want to have faith and trust in the garage company they are dealing with. He tries at all times to meet his customers' requirements and expectations. He therefore has a passion for his business and an unflinching demand for the highest of customer service. These sentiments are shared by his Sales team - Stephen Young and Paul Culley who when all their expertise is combined have over 70 years experience in the garage trade. As Neil says it is up to each one of them to know everything they can about every vehicle in stock, their history and each one's specification. All cars mileage is authenticated and is automatically HPI checked and the relevant paperwork is thoroughly checked and retained for each car's new owner. The cars also come with an AA Warranty, valid MOT certificate and are fully serviced by either a nationwide accredited company or locally recognized reputable service garage prior to completion of purchase. In addition prior to release to its new owner the cars are professionally valeted. This philosophy in part accounts for the large amount of repeat business DCC attracts. At the present time this figure stands at an average of (40%) of the company's turnover.
